Michelle Azar is an accomplished actress, singer, writer, and producer whose work has garnered multiple awards on stages in both New York and Los Angeles. Most recently, she completed a celebrated two-year national tour portraying Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the solo show All Things Equal, written by multiple Tony Award winner Rupert Holmes. In this critically acclaimed 90-minute performance, Michelle brought to life the struggles, triumphs, and enduring legacy of the late, great RBG.

Michelle’s talents extend to television, where she has recurred on numerous series and appeared in long-running musicals. Her versatile voice can be heard on major commercial jingles—including Coca-Cola—Netflix’s Finding (as the dubbed lead actress), The Chosen, and a variety of popular video games.

Her original solo show, From Baghdad to Brooklyn, explores her unique background as a Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jewish woman, delving into identity, heritage, and her evolving perspective in the wake of recent world events. Michelle is also the co-creator of the web series HTBYSIL, developed alongside her sister-in-law and the writing team Sydney and Sean. Her writing has been featured in the Jewish Women’s Archive, Kveller, and the Jewish Journal.

Together with her husband, Rabbi Jonathan Aaron, Michelle created a best-selling children’s CD, available on iTunes. They live in Los Angeles with their two daughters, where creativity and community are always at the heart of their home.
